Spring 2008
The Mystery of Godliness was commissioned by John R. Monroe for the Faith Church choir in Plano, Texas. The premiere will be Sunday, May 4th.
Bassist, Leland Byrd, a student at Southern Methodist University discovered Caravan of Variations on the American Music Center website! He performed the piece during his senior recital on March 26, 2008.
Fall 2007
A new branch of the portfolio is in the works. Hymn arrangements and music for church praise bands was submitted to CCLI this year. Stay tuned for a new page dedicated to this genre.
Spring 2007
Where Morning Dawns and Evening Fades had it’s fourth performance by saxophonist Kelly Love at the University of Houston on Friday, April 27th.
Little Nikko continues it’s tour with the 60x60 Midwest Minutes Mix to St. Louis on January 7th, Kansas City on the 12th, Allendale MI on the 25th. And recently, the tour went to Bloomington, IL on April 5th. Thanks to Rob Voisey for coordinating this project!
Fall 2006
Bassist, Charles Federle, commissioned a piece for solo bass. Caravan of Variations
was premiered at the University of North Texas on November 18th.
Little Nikko was selected for the 60x60 2006 Midwest Minutes Mix. The debut concert of this project was on October 12 at Lewis University, Romeoville, IL at the Electronic Music Midwest Festival.
Mrs. Monroe was selected by ASCAP for the 2006 ASCAPlus cash award.
Summer 2006
Saxophonist Stacy Maugans performed Where Morning Dawns and Evening Fades and A Chase with Kenneth Tse at the 14th World Saxophone Congress in Ljubljana, Slovenia on July 5-9, 2006.
Ms. Maugans was asked to perform the work again to close the Valpariso University Department of Music's opening concert of the academic year on August 22nd..
Winter 2006
Saxophonist Stacy Maugans commissioned a piece for alto sax and tape. Where Morning Dawns and Evening Fades was premiered at the NASA Biennial Conference at the University of Iowa on February 18, 2006.

Saxophonists, Stacy Maugans and Kenneth Tse, performed A Chase at the NASA Region 3 Conference held at the University of Des Moines, Iowa on April 8-10, 2005.

Mrs. Monroe attended the International Computer Music Conference in Miami, FL for a performance of her work, Almost . . .

A collaborative composition, Bells for Nicolás, was created to honor the life of Nicolás Alejandro Useche. Little Nikko, was included in this work compiled and edited by Dr. Cindy McTee.

Congratulations! Mrs. Monroe received her Master of Music degree in Music Composition from the University of North Texas.
Buckthorn Studios and Buckthorn Music Press invited Debbie to their internship program.
April 2004
World Premiere of Prayers of Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. Performers included soprano, Angela Irving; bassist, Charles Federle and violinist, Guillermo Maciel.
The CEMI 40th Anniversary Concerts include Shimmering Waves. Read a review of the concert in the Winter 2004 issue of the Computer Music Journal written by Larry Austin.
